Summary
This study seeks to understand the involvement of Chinese migrant families (the role of the family) in the recovery of relatives with mental illness, and suggests effective strategies by looking at the experiences of Chinese mental health practitioners working with Chinese migrant clients and their families in New Zealand. It is based on inductive qualitative methods and uses Grounded Theory (GT) research design. Semi-structured, in-depth one-to-one interviews were conducted with Chineses migrant clients and their families. The constant comparison method (CCM) was used for data analysis--Abstract
