Summary
The aim of this project was to develop a premium, 'just add water' cereal product. The ideas is when water is added to the cereal, a dried apple powder is rehydrated, creating an apple juice based cereal product. The project brief also specified that premium fruits and other cereal ingredients must be included in the final cereal formulation. Through market analysis, it was determined that there is great market potential in the Australian cereal industry. Its premium nature, its juice component and the 'just add water' design help to overcome the current reasons for cereal avoidance in Australia - time constraints and disappointing taste. In addition to this, there are no direct competitors to this product on the Australian market and therfore this product could fill a gap that exists in the market--Executive summary
