Summary
This study aims to explore the experiences of Indian women, who are victime of domestic violence in New Zealand, through interviews with professionals who work in this field. It explores the cultural beliefs about domestic violence that are held by Indian women and men. It also examines how migration-related issues impact on women's decisions to leave the abusive relationship. A further objective is to identify how services can be provided that are culturally appropriate to their needs
