Summary
Children in out-of-home care can experience traumatic situations and are often moved multiple times. A placement in out-of-home care can result in a loss of their connection to their birth families and a lack of knowledge regarding their history and their life experiences. While this lack of information can limit their ability to connect with their culture and can jeopardize their sense of belonging within society, life story work is a way to counter this disconnection. This qualitative study interviews three different professionals to gain an understanding of the use of life story work in New Zealand -- Abstract
