Summary
"The purpose of this study is to investigate why Māori are not accessing primary mental health services in Taranaki. This will be demonstrated by conducting qualitative interviews with three mental health workers who have at least two years experience of working in the area of mental health. Through these interviews I intend to: Explore the views, values, knowledge and experiences of mental health services provided to Māori; Gather information about the barriers that exists in primary mental health care and; To provide practical resolutions on how to increase access to primary mental health services for Māori"--Page 1
